I was fortunate to get to be a part of Nicole and Costley’s wedding. The entire wedding party were some of the kindest, most gracious, and genuinely courteous people I have had the opportunity to work with. And hey they were pretty fun to be around to boot.

One of the things I loved the most were all of the vibrant oranges and greens that Nicole picked for the color scheme.

And how can you resist a little princess?

Isaac’s 1st Birthday

Might as well post the photos from his birthday as well. We had a great time grilling out and having a water balloon fight. It took almost 2 hours to tie up 200 water balloons and about 10 minutes to throw them all. We also got Isaac a cake of his own so he could dive right in and play in it but he would just barely touch it with his fingers. He didn’t know what to do. I feel so lucky to have this little cutie in my life. He might be the most awesome kid ever.

I am such a procrastinator. It took me editing Isaac’s birthday pictures to realize that I hadn’t posted any of his 9 month pictures. So here they are…even if they are 3 months late. The last one is my favorite.

Sweet + Savory Scones

One of my favorite things to do is cook. It’s relaxing, adventurous, and hopefully at the end you have a yummy treat or meal that you can feel proud of since you made it yourself. When I was younger, I was the pickiest eater you would ever find and honestly I ate very unhealthy. I have found that loving cooking has made me expand my horizons in the food world. This recipe comes from Rachel Ray but I have modified it a little to make it my own (another wonderful thing about cooking). The recipe is for black pepper and asiago cheese scones. To make it both sweet and savory, I just add half of a cup of dried cranberries. Simple as that.

Old Family Photos

Recently my dad asked me if I could scan some old family photos for him. Most of these photos were taken in the 1940′s and included my dad and uncle’s, grandmother and grandfather, and great grandparents. I wasn’t born before my grandmother, whom I was named after, passed away so it’s always nice to see pictures of her.

Isaac at 6 months

Today we took Isaac to get his first pictures with Santa. The event was hosted by the Haywood Regional Medical Center for all of the families of children born this year. He is also just a little over 6 months old and I wanted to post some new photos of the little cutie. Happy Holidays.

Puppy Love

I went to Tennessee this past weekend to visit my parents and get some much needed rest (who knew taking care of a baby was so exhausting). While I was there my mom asked me to do some photos of their dogs. They have a boxer named Doodle and a Boston terrier named Dinger. Doodle is very shy so I didn’t have much luck with her, but I did get a few of Dinger. These are a couple of my favorites.
